Q. Is there a limit to how much data we can store with Own?
A. There is no limit to the amount of data stored with Own.
Q. How do I change my username?
A. Your Own username is created when your user is created and is always the email you registered your Own account with.
Q. Can Own tell me who actually deleted a record?
A. You can identify who deleted a record by downloading the Delete Events table from the Backup History and see which records were removed by which users (DeletedById). This object relies upon the deleted record(s) moving to the recycle bin at the time of deletion (i.e. it was not Hard Deleted). As such, you will need to download this object from a backup snapshot where the record(s) would have been in the recycle bin.
Q. Can we change the location where our data is stored in order to have it hosted in a different country?
A. Data cannot be migrated between regions. If you would like to have your data stored in a specific region, be sure to select the correct region when setting up your account (see Own Regions and IP Addresses for Allowlisting).
Q. What security encryption does Own use?
A. Own's security features ensure that data is always encrypted, both in transit and at rest. Our state-of-the-art security measures include TLS 1.2 on every page in order to ensure all traffic to and from the website is always encrypted. Additionally, while at rest, the Own platform uses AES 256bit encryption and community-adopted OAuth authentication protocol to ensure passwords are never stored on our servers.
Q. Is there a limit to the amount of orgs we can connect to our Own account?
A. There is no limit to the amount of orgs you can connect to your own account.
